Verse of the Day (September 16, 2020) #BMSeminary – Two Kinds of Wisdom. A common concern joins this section and the next paragraph (4:1-3): disunity within the church. True biblical wisdom manifests itself in virtues that foster peace rather than division. {wise and understanding} Perhaps referring especially to the teachers (v. 1). {show it by their good life} People with intellectual gifts are too often characterized by pride in their own ideas that makes them difficult to get along with.
