Verse of the Day (November 26, 2019) #BMSeminary – Alludes to Dan 7:18, the vision of God’s holy people who receive a kingdom forever in connection with the Son of Man to whom God grants everlasting dominion. This has already begun (“we are receiving a kingdom”), but it is not yet fully realized (2:8-9; see note on 2:14). Such a hope calls for us to “be thankful” and “worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.” [acceptably] Could be rendered “in a way that pleases” God (anticipating 13:15-16,21).
